Louise Paramor
Louise Paramor was born in Sydney in 1964, moving to Western Australia where she studied painting at Curtin University, before moving to Melbourne and completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Sculpture from the Victorian College of Arts. Paramor has held 14 solo exhibitions since 1988 and her works have featured in a number of group exhibitions including Primavera at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney in 1998 and the Deacon Graham and James/Arts 21 Award at the lan Potter Museum of Art in 1998 and again in 1999. She has been awarded a number of residencies including the Australia Council Studio in Barcelona, Spain 1992, and the Asialink residency at Bharat Bhavan Multi Arts Complex 1995. In 1999 Paramor was the recipient of the Australia Council Fellowship, Kunstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, Germany where she held the most recent solo exhibition of her work entitled Lustgarden.
